About Us

Whimsical Colors are hand dyed yarns and spinning fiber dyed by Julie Packard on San Juan Island.  Julie has been dyeing yarns since 2010.  She owned the local yarn store in Friday Harbor, Island Wools, from 2012 to 2024.  Now she is focusing on her passions of yarn dyeing, fiber dyeing, knitting, spinning, and exploring the local fiber from our region.
